FAVORITE FINDS UNDER $25

KITCHEN EDITION

If I had a dollar for everytime someone asked me where we get our show home decor from, I would be able to afford a home makeover every month! Most of our items are random finds – but there are a few places that are staples. This month, we will be sharing with you our favorite budget finds for each room in your home! Today we are sharing kitchen decor!

  1. I don’t know what it is, but serving spoons add such a nice touch to a meal. It makes you feel glamorous no matter what the meal is! Especially with this luxe spoon from Anthropologie.
  2. Something you probably don’t think about too often is where you are going to put your napkins. This deer antler napkin holder will save the day once that thought does cross your mind!
  3. Beautiful + practical = my ideal item. This ‘tea for one’ pot  from Structube is brilliant because you can stack it and store it when you’re not using it – although I would probably always have it on display. It’s gorgeous!
  4. Another pick from Structube – this serving plate is classic with a twist. It will never go out of style, but it is different than what everyone else has!
  5. Pineapples are everywhere these days – I have even seen pineapple curtains. Take the more subtle route with these highball glasses!
  6. H&M have always had great home decor pieces – at an insanely reasonable price. Example: these straw placemats in perfect spring colors.
  7. Because even when in the kitchen, you must still be stylish. H&M has a ton of different aprons, so you are sure to find one that fits your style! Maybe this zebra print one perhaps?

What are your thoughts on these picks? Are there any that you would add? Let us know!

Tiny Home Spotlight – ZeroSquared

By Uncategorized

We love everything HGTV – and one show we find particularly interesting is Tiny Homes! Did you know that there is a company in Calgary that actually builds tiny homes? It’s called ZeroSquared – and they will be at the Edmonton Home and Garden show this weekend! Join us here for a little tour of their company…

The biggest advantage about tiny homes is that you have more freedom, time and money to spend doing other things besides maintaining your house. It also is beneficial that you can pick up and  go wherever you please! ZeroSquared understands that downsizing can achieve a “greater quality of life,” and they sure know how to make it easy for you. This group realized there was less stress when living this type of lifestyle, however they couldn’t find any tiny homes that suited their style or needs. So, they decided to create something that did!

What about Alberta winters? Are these homes fit to keep out the cold? You bet they are – they use environmentally friendly building panels that “keep the inside in and the outside out.” The kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom are luxurious and spacious enough that you won’t be missing your old home! A list of upgrades makes it easy to personalize your tiny home to cater to your needs. 374 Square Feet has never felt so spacious!

Make sure you visit ZeroSquared at the Home and Garden Show this weekend! Check out their website in the mean time here : http://zerosquared.ca/
