Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
As we move into 2018, we receive the gift of new beginnings! This is a good time to get rid of clutter and things that don’t work well with your home anymore. We will take a look at what trends from 2017 are here to stay and which new and exciting things are coming our way – but first, color trends! Here To Stay
Although brassy toned gold finishes have been around for a while, we think they will become more of a standard this year – replacing the stainless steel that seems to be in every home!
We went with colored trim in our Jensen Lakes show home – if you consider black a color! Grey would be a good alternative for anyone that doesn’t want to go too dark.
Statement colored velvet furniture seems to be every where this year, and we don’t think it will stop any time soon. This green couch might be the best one I’ve seen so far!
Boho chic has always been trendy, but we think this year it will be making more of a statement. Think more woven baskets, chairs, and furniture like this bookshelf!
What's Next?
In the past, we have seen mostly neutral walls with no patterns. This year you will see more bold patterns and risk taking, like this floral wallpaper in our Cobalt Beach town homes.
The pastel pink craze that you have been seeing everywhere may just be at its end. Expect more lavender and lilac colored accents popping up.
Bring the outdoors in! Natural elements like wood and colors such as forest green, deep blue, and tan will be dominant this year.
Moving away from triangle and square shaped everything, we will be seeing more circles in 2018. Think wall decor, pillows, rugs; patterns look good everywhere!
